Jackson Choral Society Announces New Music Director

After  reviewing  many applications, and interviewing the top 7 candidates, the board of the Jackson Choral Society is delighted to announce that on July 1st Zach Young will become the new JCS music director.  Zach has exceptional credentials, and the board is confident that he will maintain the high standards of exceptional performance that have been the hallmark for Jackson’s premier community choir.  Zach serves as Pastor of Music and Worship at First Baptist Church of Jackson, where he is recognized not only for  his gifted direction of both adult and youth choirs, but also his skills at the organ. 

The next JCS concert “Women in Music” is scheduled for the afternoon of November 19th .  Choir rehearsals will begin on August 15th at Jackson’s First United Methodist Church.  For additional information and updates, please look to the Jackson Choral Society Facebook page.
